16 January 2013

Here we go again, one day after the terrible news that HMV have gone into administration now yet another high street brand has gone pop! It has therefore been announced that accountants Deloitte have been appointed to manage the struggling entertainment company Blockbuster who has broken under pressure from online retainer's like LoveFilm, Netflix and Amazon and gone into administration.
This long awaited news leaves 4,190 staff hanging in the balance. Deloitte has already announced that 150 stores will close across the UK in the next six months. However, the good news for consumers 'at the moment' is that the administrators have announced that Blockbuster will continue to honor gift vouchers. However, this will not last long so if you have a Blockbuster voucher USE IT NOW
The question now is which high street brand will be next???
