Cut down your spending by ditching one non-essential item each week

One way to limit your spending is to have a look at what you spend each month and split your expenses into two different lists, essentials and non-essentials.
First list: Essentials are items such as food and energy bills, try to see if you can find a better deal online.
Second list: Non essential are items that you can live without such as sweets (cigarettes?) etc..
When you have your two lists put each expense into order of priority, and then try to cut a different one off each week,
