UPDATE: Alleged scam known as 'confidential elite'

Several people contacted us through the site to inform us about an alleged scam known as confidential elite and asked us for help.
Each person parted with their hard earned cash in exchange for certain promises from the people at confidential elite, which never materialised. They placed adverts in many local newspapers and other publications, such as AD Friday and claimed to be looking for people to act as companions for their wealthy clients.
We are told that there was a fee of £295, which had to be paid by internet transfer or cash deposit into a bank account.

Our team have researched this and found that this company is NOT REGISTERED at Companies House (so it is not a real 'limited' company). Further, it would appear that their website has now been taken down so maybe they have been rumbled. However, of more concern we found that they have operated the same scam on many different occasions under different names.
Update - 05/06/2012
We have located the names and addresses of those involved in the scam and passed these to the victims that we have come across and we are now in the process of making sure that they are exposed as much as possible so that no more innocent people lose their money.
