New minimum wage - October 2012

The national minimum wage, which employers must pay their employees, will increase from 1st October 2012.
The main rate for workers aged 21 and over will increase from £6.08 per hour to £6.19 per hour and apprenticeship rate will increase from £2.60 per hour to £2.65 per hour.
The rate for 18-20 year olds stays the same at £4.98 per hour and the rate for 16-17 years olds remains at £3.68 per hour.
