NATIONAL MINIMUM WAGE
(AS OF OCTOBER 2011)
As an employee you are entitled to receive the National Minimum Wage (NMW).
The current NMW is as follows:
£6.08 - the main rate for workers aged 21 and over
£4.98 - the rate for workers aged 18-20
£3.68 - the rate for 16-17 year old workers above school leaving age but under 18
£2.60 - the rate for apprentices under 19 years of age or aged 19 in their first year of apprenticeship
